Wrapping Up
After six weeks of sending meals to our frontline healthcare workers across the country, we have decided to wrap up. With food more regularly coming in to hospitals, and a funding slowdown, we have decided to shift to donating to nursing home employees in the NY/NJ area with our remaining non-dedicated funding (some of our partners in LA and Boston raised region-specific funds).
If you know a nursing home in those areas who would benefit from a meal, or you'd like to donate towards our last push, please do.
Thank you.

Your generous contributions are spent directly on food deliveries to hospitals in the hardest hit areas of the country right now. Many Jewish kosher-keeping doctors, nurses, etc., who are working can't eat from the generously donated food that others can.

We are currently delivering to the following Boston area facilities:
MGH, BWH and BIDMC
Please fill out this form to be considered for upcoming deliveries.
In the Boston area, Kosher19 has joined forces with a local volunteer group. Danielle Kampler will join the team as Boston volunteer coordinator -- where she help us take care of all Boston-related activity, including frontline healthcare workers, restaurants, and caring community members.
By giving to Kosher19 as part of the Boston chapter, you are ensuring that Kosher keeping frontline healthcare workers and their colleagues can eat during their grueling shifts.

Deliveries
Starting after Passover, all hospital unit deliveries will happen according to a schedule. Units in the same facility will typically get deliveries on the same day.
This new delivery method will help Kosher19 get better at overall quality control and scale. At the same time, it will give restaurants regularity in orders, and therefore a better vendor + customer experience overall.

Covid-19 Call-to-Action Media Alert
Looking to Thank Our Healthcare Heroes Beyond a Round of Applause? Feel Heartbroken for the Mom & Pop Restaurant Owners Whose Businesses are Threatened?
Join Kosher19’s Viral Movement to Have Delicious, Free Meals From Local Restaurants Delivered to Thousands of Healthcare Heroes Nationwide
April 2, 2020 - Jewish journalist Bethany Mandel recently started a grassroots effort to send pizza to healthcare workers battling the COVID crisis in hard-hit metropolitan areas. In just a matter of days, it became a full-fledged organization with a small group of volunteers helping place orders around the country in an effort to provide doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals with kosher food, while simultaneously doing everything in their power to ensure local kosher restaurants could stay open during to COVID-19 financial crisis.
In just a matter of weeks, more than 10,000 healthcare workers at nearly 200 hospital units nationwide were served delicious and nutritious meals by Kosher19 for free. The movement is making sure thousands of healthcare professionals - beyond just the kosher-keepers - are briefly able to take a moment to stay nourished so they can continue to save lives during the crisis. In addition, dozens of kosher restaurants won’t have to close thanks to Kosher19’s quick-thinking efforts to support their businesses.
Kosher19 would like to continue its acts-of-kindness mission and could use your ‘inner-hero’ to keep serving our healthcare friends on the front-line, their families, and more. Kosher19 understands each individual is experiencing their own personal turmoil during these tough times and therefore may be limited - including financially - in ways they can help. Being acutely mindful of these limitations, Kosher19 has designed the movement to give people the opportunity to lend a helping hand in various forms, from simply spreading the word through social media to financially feeding an entire ICU medical staff unit for a week. Everyone & Anyone Can Get Involved:
To date, the movement has received more than $75,000 in donations without any formal solicitation. If you would like to support this effort financially, any and every amount is welcome. Visit Kosher19.com for details.
